Job Summary: This position works directly with engineering personnel and quality department in a cross-functional environment to create and implement comprehensive quality processes for the manufacture of aerospace and commercial components with a focus on gear and splines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Review customer contracts for quality requirements and ensure that quality requirements are incorporated into manufacturing process
- Determine inspection requirements and required resources
- Identify strategic points in manufacturing process to inspect parts and engineer detailed inspection operation(s)
- Bubble drawings and create inspection reports from bubbled drawings
- Assist in transitioning to a new ERP system; load Quality Processing information into ERP system to ensure data is accurate and reliable
Job Requirements:
Must be skilled at reading and interpreting blueprints. Must have a strong understanding of the manufacturing process; process engineering background is a plus. Must have a strong understanding of manual inspection methods and CMM inspection methods. Must be familiar with Quality Management Systems, AS9100 & ISO9001 preferred. Must be familiar with Aerospace industry quality requirements. Must be familiar with bubble/balloon drawings and methods used to create bubbles/ballooned drawings. Must be able to communicate effectively, work individually or as part of a team and be detail oriented.
